When you start the application for the first time, please connect to the Internet when instructed. If for any reason you need to re-install this product, you must unregister it first via the Unregister function at the top of the main menu. Both registration and unregistration functions require Internet connection. Microsoft® .NET Framework This product requires .NET Framework 1.1. .NET Framework 1.1 can be downloaded at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=262d25e3-f589-4842-8157-034d1e7cf3a3&DisplayLang=en These are the minimum hardware and software requirements to install the .NET Framework: - Verify the Operating System and Hardware Requirements - Verify that Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or Later is installed - Verify that Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0 is installed - For Windows 2000: Verify that Service Pack 2 is Installed - For Windows NT: Service Pack 6a - Verify that Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.6 or later is installed - Verify that JET 4.0 components are installed Verify the Operating System and Hardware Requirements You can install the .NET Framework on almost any computer that runs one of the following Microsoft® operating systems: -Windows 2000 -Windows XP -Windows NT -Windows Millennium Edition (Me) -Windows 98 The following are the minimum system requirements for the .NET Framework: Processor: Intel Pentium class, 90 megahertz (MHz) or greater RAM: 32 megabytes (MB) (96 MB or greater recommended) Hard disk space required for installation: 60 MB Video: 800x600, 256 colors To verify whether your computer meets these requirements, use one of the following methods: Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Information, or Use the Winmsd.exe tool: click Start, click Run, type winmsd.exe in the Open box, and then press ENTER. The System Information window opens. Verify that Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later is Installed You must have Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later installed for the .NET Framework to operate. To verify that Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later is installed, follow these steps: On the Internet Explorer Help menu, click About. In the About Internet Explorer dialog box, verify that the version number is later than 5.01, and then click OK. To download the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, visit the following Microsoft Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.asp Verify that Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0 is Installed You must have Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0 or later installed for the .NET Framework to operate. This component is installed as part of the core operating system on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 systems. To verify that Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0 or later is installed on earlier operating systems, follow these steps: Click Start, click Run, type msiexec /? in the Open box, and then press ENTER (or click OK). In the Windows Installer dialog box, verify that the version number is later than 2.0, and then click OK. To download the latest version of Microsoft Windows Installer, visit the following Microsoft Web site: Platform SDK Redistributables http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/platformsdk/sdkupdate/default.htm?p=/msdownload/platformsdk/sdkupdate/psdkredist.htm For Windows 2000: Verify that Service Pack 2 is Installed Before you install the .NET Framework on a Windows 2000-based computer, make sure that you have installed Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 or later. To determine whether Service Pack 2 is installed, follow these steps: Right-click Start, and then click Explore. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. The System Properties dialog box displays the service pack level of the system on the General tab. To download service packs for Windows 2000, visit the following Microsoft Web site: Service Packs http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/default.asp For Windows NT 4.0: Service Pack 6a http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nts/downloads/recommended/SP6/allSP6.asp Important: Make sure you have the latest service pack and critical updates for the version of Windows that you are running. To find recent security updates, visit Windows Update. http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp Verify that Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.6 is Installed To verify that MDAC 2.6 or later is installed, follow these steps: Locate the Msdadc.dll file on your computer. By default, this file is stored in the \Program Files\Common Files\System\Ole DB\ folder. Right-click Msdadc.dll, and then click Properties. On the Version tab, verify that the file version is later than 2.6, and then click OK.
